The Walking Dead – The Death of Death

Greetings Dear Reader,

Our friends have not found the cure they seek.  They still live daily under the specter of impending doom.  Every day is a struggle to get to the next day.  It is not even survival.  It is simply prolonging the inevitable.

We also owe a death.  We are unable to avoid it.  Nothing about our lives does not involved death.  We live in a death based ecosystem.  To grow food seeds must die.  We kill for meat.  The annual cycle of life is death and rebirth. 

We were never intended for death.  We were intended for life.  We created death when we disobeyed God.  We are in debt for both the sin and the life.  We cannot solve the problem without help. 

Christ makes the journey for us.  He pays the debt of sin by accepting death.  He becomes incarnate knowing that he is the walking dead.  Through his death and resurrection he defeats death.

I only have hope in Christ.  His death and resurrection give me life.  It is only by faith in this that I can live.  I cannot cheat physical death but I can live.
