Meditations In the Christmas Story – Good Tidings - tempus bona nuntians

Merry Christmas Dear Reader,

“And the Angel said, ‘Fear not for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be for all people, for unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour who is Christ the Lord.’ ”

This is the heart of the matter.  This announcement is the announcement.  This is the moment when things begin to get back to good.  The good tidings are the first good in getting the world back to where it is meant to be.

God is good. The Father loves us and sends the Son to bring things back to him; back to good.  The good tidings are meant to be a comfort.  They destined to bring us joy.  They are designed to be for all people.

Time is full.  Time is ripe.  It is time to bring joy to the world.  It is time for me to renew my heart and enthrone the King.  It is all creation sense, see it, and sing it.  I long to celebrate this birth with the King in the place where all things are made right.  I want the tidings to be realized for everyone.

I do not have to wait for the day to do this.  I can do it now in the way I interact with others. I can do it with all that I am and hope to become.

Joy to the World - Pentatonix

Joy to the world, the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
let every heart prepare him room,
and heaven and nature sing,
and heaven and nature sing,
and heaven and nature sing.

Joy to the world, the Savior reigns!
Let all their songs employ;
while fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains
repeat the sounding joy,
repeat the sounding joy,
repeat the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow,
nor thorns infest the ground;
he comes to make his blessings flow
far as the curse is found,
far as the curse is found,
far as the curse is found.

He rules the world with truth and grace,
and makes the nations prove
the glories of his righteousness,
and wonders of his love,
and wonders of his love,
and wonders of his love.

Wishing you joy in the journey,

Aramis Thorn
Mat 13:52 So Jesus said to them, "That is why every writer who has become a disciple of Christ’s rule of the universe is like a home owner. He liberally hands out new and old things from his great treasure store.”
