Greetings
Dear Reader,
We
inherently know that killing is wrong. I
think that we do not see just how much is packed into the simple word
kill. It is such a small word for such a
powerful thing.
“Never murder.”
(GW)
It is simple
to say “do not murder.” It is vast to
control and assure that we live in a way that does not cause the death of
others. This first of the social
commands that reach outside of the family puts to the forefront that life is
sacred to God. It is not enough to
simply refrain from killing. This is not
a passive command.
“Never take
life by premeditation, for greed, for vengeance, or as an assassin.” (ATT)
I am to see
every life as sacred. I am to be careful
that those around me do not die because of inaction or I am guilty. No matter the level of the violence I am not
to be a part of it. I am not to allow
others to be harmed for the sake of any form of personal gain.
Wishing you
joy in the journey,
Aramis Thorn

Jesus said to them, "That is why every writer who has become a disciple of
Christ’s rule of the universe is like a home owner. He liberally hands out new
and old things from his great treasure store."
