Merry Christmas Dear Reader,
It is not proper to celebrate the baby without an eye to the
cross. The two are inseparable. Without the incarnation there is no
cross. The purpose of the incarnation is
the cross.
Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of
sin. It is, therefore, the incarnation
that gives us a way to redemption. It is
redemption that is what we celebrate. To celebrate the birth without this offers
content but no understanding.
As we travel the road to Bethlehem we need to discuss
this. It is in Christ that our hope for redemption
exists. It is in this knowledge that the
mother carrying the baby travels. It is
with this understanding that the foster father cares for a child that is not
his own.
The birth must be celebrated. It is a cause for great joy and it is what
the Father wants. We must also
acknowledge that this is only the beginning of the journey. This is only the first act of the passion
play.
Mary,
Did you Know – Pentatonix
Mary, did you know that your baby boy will one day walk on
water?
Mary, did you know that your baby boy will save our sons and
daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you
Mary, did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a
blind man?
Mary, did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with
his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels
trod?
And when you kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face
of God
Mary, did you know, Mary did you know, Mary did you know
The blind will see, the deaf will hear and the dead will
live again
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the
lamb
Mary, did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all
creation?
Mary ,did you know that your baby boy will one day rule the
nations?
Did you know that your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you're holding is the great I AM
Mary, did you know, Mary did you know, Mary did you know
Wishing you joy in the journey,
Aramis Thorn
Mat 13:52 So Jesus said to them, "That is why every writer
who has become a disciple of Christ’s rule of the universe is like a home
owner. He liberally hands out new and old things from his great treasure
store.”
