Greetings Dear Reader,
As we journey there are things that we must leave
behind. There are also things and people
lost along the way. We do not wish. It does not bring joy. Sometimes the sorrow of the loss lingers for
a lifetime.
I have lost things along the way. Most of them do not matter to me. Friends lost along the way, however, is a
much different thing. I will not embarrass
anyone by naming them but there are losses that grieve me. They have revisited themselves afresh in my
mind and I am going to ponder the pain to see what there is to learn from it.
When loss attempts to reassert its grip on me I must review
what was the cause, the cost, and lesson of the loss. I will walk through the memories and remember
what I must carry away from the losses.
Walk with me as we remember how to turn death into a fighting chance to
live.
Wishing you joy in the journey,
Aramis Thorn
Mat 13:52 So Jesus said to them, "That is why every writer
who has become a disciple of Christ’s rule of the universe is like a home
owner. He liberally hands out new and old things from his great treasure
store.”

Maybe there is no loss. Maybe there is only gain in the friendship that they offered.
ReplyDeleteThis was really deep. We have all been though loss, would love to hear about where those thoughts took you and feeling the pain I look forward to that post it's true lessons can be learned but that doesn't mean that the pain just goes away
