Second Thoughts – Blizzard Victims

Greetings Dear Reader,

This just in:  The State of Georgia mobilizes charities to provide bread and milk to blizzard sieged Wisconsin.

The Peach State has put together a minivan convoy of worried southern soccer moms to deliver milk and bread to the victims of today's Wisconsin blizzard.  One such mom was quoted as saying: “We never hear on the news of those poor Wisconsin people going out for supplies when a storm is coming.  Surely it is our duty to help our northern neighbors.”

One organizer commandeered the bread isle at a Kroger in Smyrna and dispatched his sons to cart up all the milk, buttermilk, and chocolate milk.   He turned regular shoppers away explaining the dire need of the Wisconsin people.

The lead organizer, Buford T. Becknell of Cumming, GA explained that it was vital that a state so recently hit by murderous snow storms not sit by while other states suffered the same fate.  Buford plans to personally lead the caravan in his Sun Beam Semi.  His hope is to, in his own words, “Bring a little southern sunshine to the frozen north.”

His wife, Ivy, when reminded that Wisconsin is “The Dairy State” responded, “I am sure all of those cows are just too cold to milk or would rather not be bothered during the store. Bless their hearts.”

Wishing you joy in the journey,

Mat 13:52 So Jesus said to them, "That is why every writer who has become a disciple of Christ’s rule of the universe is like a home owner. He liberally hands out new and old things from his great treasure store.”
