Meditations In the Christmas Story – Glory, Good Will, Peace

Merry Christmas Dear Reader,

“Glory to God in the highest, peace on earth, good will to men.”

We celebrate.  We celebrate hope.  We celebrate the child.  It is in this moment of Advent announcement that we find the beginning of the end.  It is in the celebration of the child we celebrate the light, we celebrate hope, and we celebrate life.

We pause from the hard harrowing journey to revel in the Son who will make all things good.  We continue on eventually but first we must take a moment to remember the one we follow and love what he does for us.

I will never forget the sorrow to come but for a few days I will remember the glory, good will, and peace.  I will celebrate the Child, the Father, the mother, and the foster father.  I will do it with an eye to celebrating with him in person.  I will do it with a heart filled with gratitude and love.

Celebrate the Child – Michael Card

Celebrate the Child who is the Light
Now the darkness is over
No more wandering in the night
Celebrate the Child who is the Light

You know this is no fable
Godhead and manhood became one
We see He's more than able
And so we live to God the Son

Celebrate the Child who is the Light
Now the darkness is over
No more wandering in the night
Celebrate the Child who is the Light

First born of creation
Lamb and Lion, God and Man
The Author of Salvation
Almighty rapped in swaddling bands

Celebrate the Child who is the Light
Now the darkness is over
No more wandering in the night
Celebrate the Child who is the Light

Celebrate the Child who is the Light
Now the darkness is over
No more wandering in the night
Celebrate the Child who is the Light

Celebrate the Child

Celebrate the Child who is the Light
Now the darkness is over
No more wandering in the night
Celebrate the Child who is the Light

Celebrate the Child who is the Light
Now the darkness is over
No more wandering in the night
Celebrate the Child who is the Light

Celebrate the Child who is the Light
Now the darkness is over
No more wandering in the night
Celebrate the Child who is the Light

Celebrate the Child who is the Light
Now the darkness is over
No more wandering in the night
Celebrate the Child who is the Light

Wishing you joy in the journey,

Mat 13:52 So Jesus said to them, "That is why every writer who has become a disciple of Christ’s rule of the universe is like a home owner. He liberally hands out new and old things from his great treasure store.”
