Meditations In the Christmas Story – A Saviour - Tempore salutis

Merry Christmas Dear Reader,

We do not like to think that we need salvation.  We want to be independent of the consequences of our sin.  The truth is that we need a Saviour.  We need redemption.  We need reclamation.

The Father cannot violate the nature of his justice.  He cannot deny the needs of his love.  He cannot ignore sin.  The answer is to provide someone to fulfill all these needs and the Son takes on the task.

Unto to us is born a Saviour.   That is the root of the joy.  It is the fountain head from which flows the hope of all mankind.  It is in this one word that the fullness of time is revealed.  I can have hope because of this word.  I can risk loving others because I am redeemed.  I can share my joy without reservation because I am reclaimed.

From the pronouncement of that one word we turn the glass and begin to move toward the realization of all things getting back to good.  They journey is long and hard.  We are not alone fur unto us is born a Saviour who is Christ the Lord.

Birthday Of the King – Judy Garland

In the little village of Bethlehem
There lay a child one day
And the sky was bright
With a holy light
O'er the place where Jesus lay.

Alleluia
O how the angels sang!
Alleluia
How it rang!
And the sky was bright
With a holy light
'Twas the birthday of a King.

Humble birthplace
But O
How much God gave to us that day!
From the manger bed what a path has led
What a perfect holy way.

Alleluia
O how the angels sang!
Alleluia
How it rang!
And the sky was bright
With a Holy light
'Twas the birthday of a King

Wishing you joy in the journey,

Aramis Thorn
Mat 13:52 So Jesus said to them, "That is why every writer who has become a disciple of Christ’s rule of the universe is like a home owner. He liberally hands out new and old things from his great treasure store.”
