Born into a working class family under harsh circumstances is
challenge enough. Jesus was also born
into a nation under military occupation and foreign rule. His early life was filled with flight and
danger. The time between his twelfth
year and his thirtieth is a mystery.
His time of public work was only three years. In that short time he impacted history in a
way that no one ever has. Every movement
of his life was committed to revealing God to us in a new way. Every event was a living out of loving God
and his neighbor with all he is.
He healed, he fed, and he cared for others. His entire time was committed to the well-being
of others. This is what I am called to
follow. This is who I am called to be
like. Celebrating the Advent of Christ
means renewing my purpose to follow the man that the baby became.
Wishing you joy in the journey,
Aramis Thorn
Mat 13:52 So Jesus said to them, "That is why every writer
who has become a disciple of Christ’s rule of the universe is like a home
owner. He liberally hands out new and old things from his great treasure
store."
