Come To Me To Start Again

Greetings Dear Reader,

Most of you know how much I love music.  Songs grip me and I will listen to them over and over until they work out the truth in me they are trying to bring to the surface.  Recently I was reminded of my love for the Goo Goo Dolls.  I realize most of you will immediately think of Iris.  This is a great song.

The song that has been wending its way through my mind and spirit, however, and a richer more hopeful love song.  I think that I forget sometimes that the journey with Christ is intended to be a Divine romance.  Christ courts us as the Bridegroom.  He loves of with so much passion and use the imagery of marriage as his seeking us.

He does not care how damaged and broken I am he still seeks me out.  He does not care how often I run away he still pursues me.  He does not care where I have been he just wants me to be willing to start again.  Love, forgiveness, restoration, and a new start are available to me daily. Lord knows I need it.
