A Season of Giving – A Secret Meal

Greetings Dear Reader,

This is one of those things that may do me more good than the person who receives it.  The people at the couple of diners I frequent know me well and from time to time I will pay someone else’s tab in secret.

I usually choose a mom with a child or if someone looks like they are in need.  Near one of the diners is day labor office.  Sometimes on cold winter mornings one of the men hoping for work will come in for coffee and to warm up.  It is so joyous to just nod at the owner who will then get a breakfast order from the man and tell him it is already paid for.

Those who are in want or need matter. A hot meal is so spirit lifting.   It is such an easy thing to do and takes little planning.

He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done. – Proverbs 19:17

Wishing you joy in the journey,
