That’s not how it works – Light in the Fog

Greetings Dear Reader,

I truly wonder how often we deny what we need because we think we do not need it.  We convince ourselves that we can go without rest, proper eating, or good life habits.  We believe that we will not suffer consequences. 

It is not my desire to condemn or judge anyone.  Life does not work when we reject God.  We have no harbor for our souls. We have no anchor for our hope.  We can reason our way from God and convince ourselves that we do not need him. 

There is no promise that things will be easy or simple.  We will have pain, tribulation, and challenges that want to overwhelm us.  When they come God offers us a place to stand.  He is the source of the hope that is necessary to endure.

I know that I will have detractors here but nothing works without God in his proper place in my life.  In the darkness and in the fog Christ is the only light that works. That is the only way life works.
