Greetings Dear Reader,
My dear friend Lori posted a note about things to do in
coming year that would make the year better.
That started a think worm for me that has led to pondering on how I will
practically work out the things I desire to accomplish.
Since my desire for Route 366 is to maximize my ability to
follow Christ in all that I do, I must assure that I consider every area. I must plan the word and work the plan. I must also assure that I plan with an eye to
God completely laughing at those plans.
As the think worm was working away at my subconscious I was
discussing Pokémon with my elder Grandson, Orion. He was explaining that you had to capture
all of them to win the game he was playing.
This was a made up game using small figures he had received as a
gift. The rules were fluid and always in
his favor.
The think worm connected Lori’s post and the Pokémon theme
of “You got to catch them all” into a way to categorize my thinking about
finding practical ways to live out my overreaching desire. In the next few days as I return to my “normal”
activities I want to walk through practical ways to capture all there is in the
various areas of my existence.
I know where I want to be and am unsure how to get
there. I have been slowed by the
difficulties of the last year. Some of
the energy required to stay focused on my efforts was channeled at maintaining through
the challenges. I realize I will be
where I am for longer than I wish. I
will stay until I learn what I must.
As I work my way through capturing all that I can on this
route feel free to make suggestions and observations. Your company Dear Reader will be something I
treasure in every aspect of my journey.
Your assistance as friend and good counsel is ever valuable to me. I know where I am headed and perhaps I can
work out how to get there with less pain and more alacrity.
The Long
and Winding Road – The Beatles
The long and winding road
That leads to your door
Will never disappear
I've seen that road before
It always leads me here
Lead me to your door
The wild and windy night
That the rain washed away
Has left a pool of tears
Crying for the day
Why leave me standing here
Let me know the way
Many times I've been alone
And many times I've cried
Any way you'll never know
The many ways I've tried
But still they lead me back
To the long winding road
You left me standing here
A long long time ago
Don't leave me waiting here
Lead me to your door
But still they lead me back
To the long winding road
You left me standing here
A long long time ago
Don't keep me waiting here
Lead me to your door
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Wishing you joy in the journey,
Aramis Thorn
Mat 13:52 So Jesus said to them, "That is why every writer
who has become a disciple of Christ’s rule of the universe is like a home
owner. He liberally hands out new and old things from his great treasure
store.”
