Happy Christmas Dear Reader,
“Tie jingle bells on your children’s shoe laces.”
The idea is that we constantly remind each other where we
are in the cycle of the year. We are meant
to be in a time of celebration. The woes
of the world are not gone. Strife and
pain are not on pause. The devil is not
on vacation.
We, however, need to remember that the entire world has a
cause for joy. The very worst there is
here is fleeting. The problems of the
world will pass. This season is to remind us of this.
Do things to remind you every moment of where we are in the
year and why it matters. Take a moment
to breathe in the joy that is possible to those who allow it. Wear the outlandish sweater. Sing or hum as you wander about the day. Put some jing-tinglers on your heels and
dance a little.
Wishing you joy in the journey,
Aramis Thorn
Mat 13:52 So Jesus said to them, "That is why every writer
who has become a disciple of Christ’s rule of the universe is like a home
owner. He liberally hands out new and old things from his great treasure
store.”
