Greetings Dear Reader,
Since we are nearing the end of this part of the journey and
must turn our attention to some basic matters there is the feeling that time grows
short. As a race we are masters of delaying
embracing the truth. We find so many
reasons to avoid what we should in an attempt to pursue what we wish. We follow the wrong gods home and are
surprised to find the home is false and disappointing.
It is time to head for HOME.
There is no more time to tarry over things that are a semblance or empty
replacement. There is no room for
unnecessary and cumbersome things in our packs.
We may stay are rest a bit here and there but there is no permanent place
here that will sustain us.
The journey continues whether we accept it or not. The sun rolls through our days whether it is bright
and clear or shrouded in grey and cold. The
sands drift through the pinch and we choose what we will do with each
grain. The world is not going to get better. The shadow will grow before it
diminishes. The gathering darkness has
not reached it fullness.
We must be on the path before the darkness hinders us. The Father is unwilling that any should perish. The Son draws us to himself and bids us
follow him HOME. The world may no long
remember this simple scribbler. I do,
however, hope that my tales and verse can somehow sing you closer to HOME Dear
Reader.
If we are honest, there is nothing we lose in following that
we can hope to keep anyway. It is all destined
to ruin if it is not part of following Christ.
We look at men and use them to deny God.
We build homes and think we are in a lasting place. We need to heed the call, hear the song, and
understand what Christ is saying. He is
calling for you to get back HOME.
Back
Home – Mustard Seed Faith
The quiet hours you walked alone
He was beside you
The painful tears; the darkened years
He was around then too
And all your life, you’ve been on your own
Now He’s calling for you to get back home.
The many things you’ve tried to do to fill the emptiness
The painful tears, the broken years just left you lonliness,
yes it did
But in your heart now you know its time to go
As he’s calling for you to get back home
And the voices of your past will cry out to you
Just turn you back on them and come through, yeah
The many loves you’ve gained and lost
Your deepest hurts
The many times you turned your back on God
Who loved you first
Now the love of God will fall on you
And he’ll show you the way to get back home…
Wishing you joy in the journey,

who has become a disciple of Christ’s rule of the universe is like a home
owner. He liberally hands out new and old things from his great treasure
