Greetings Dear Reader,
In writing The Judas Scroll, I have had to think long and deep about the destruction of enemies. It is what the Zealots prayed for, worked toward, and believed in. It is one of the reasons Jesus talks about enemies.
As I unpack this in my mind, I have to strike a balance between two truths. I want the Father to destroy my enemies. I also want everyone to find and follow Christ. These are not mutually exclusive. They also do limit my enemies to those who do not follow Christ. There are those who consider me an enemy who also follow Jesus.
Over the next couple of days, I wish to work out my strategy for destroying my enemies. I wish to be certain I have a plan in place. I want it to embrace the will of the Father and yet also defend his honor and holiness. It is a narrow path and must be walked gingerly with a clear focus.
Please join me, Dear Reader, as we examine a plan to identify and destroy the enemies in our path. I will not promote violence but there is a way to be certain our enemies are left where they should be. As always, I treasure your thoughts and questions.
Wishing you joy in the journey,
