Needful Things ~ Warm Fuzzies

Greetings Dear Reader,

I first read The Original Warm Fuzzies Tale when I was in school studying counseling.  It is the story of the ability to meet the needs of others without fear of having less for ourselves.  It is the encapsulation of loving unconditionally in a fable that is charming and obvious.

People need to give each other warm fuzzies.  They need to express kindness and love without reservation.  When was the last time you were greeted by a stranger with warmth and love that had no agenda attached to it?  It is vital that we learn that showing love to each other does not deplete our supply of love.

I often joke about things that I feel are unnecessary as a waste of hydrogen.   Hydrogen is the most plentiful element in the universe.  One cannot “waste” it.  Love is like hydrogen in that it is never wasted, not because of its common nature but because it is inexhaustible if it is genuine.  It never fails and it never runs out.

People need love whether they admit it or not.  It is to be our identifying mark.  It is to be the cloak that covers us and has room for everyone beneath it.  I must always be ready to show love to those needful of this thing.  This is Dear Reader, everyone we encounter.  We must engage in this practice as it heals others and benefits us.  It is a primary need that must be met for us to survive.

I come from a line of people who demand that others constantly prove that others love them.  I am breaking the shackles of this but have already left some scar tissue in my path.  I want to heal it all, but it takes time and the administration of love.  It also takes a deeper understanding of what my need truly is.  We are getting closer to it but today’s piece must be clear.

I can show love to others without reservation.  I can try to mend what is broken in everyone but must do so without expectation or hesitation.  My warm fuzzy may be one of many the individual needs to heal.  This is a step closer but requires constant vigilance concerning the needful things in others.  How about you Dear Reader?  Can you risk believing that you will never run out of warm fuzzies if you give them away freely?

Wishing you joy in the journey,
