Who Do You Blame? ~ A Higher Blame

Greetings Dear Reader, 

When it comes to blaming and laying it at the feet of others, there are those who shoot for the top.  Blame is an easy thing to cast about.  It is also easy to do so without integrity. 

We cannot with integrity lay our blame on God.  Blame implies wrongdoing and it seems popular to accuse the Father of being wrong in the way he does things.  Of late many have chosen to second guess the validity of the Father running his universe the way he wishes.   

I know we do not always like it but the Father created and owns it all.  We would cease to exist were it not for his constant sustenance.  The world is his and even many of his followers fail to acknowledge his sovereignty over it.  I realize for some this answer is just not good enough.  

Still, blaming the Father for the ills of the world is ignoring our own guilt for contributing to the brokenness of the world.  We are the ones who lie, harm, hate, and disobey.  It is our portion of the deal that is broken and needs repair, redemption, and reconciliation.  If we are blaming the Father for our ills then we leave no room for these things.  

Blame in general is easy to administer as it requires little effort and seemingly sheds our responsibility.   We go to the top when we blame God and we rise to the pinnacle of futility in laying blame.  It is at this point I must see who is to blame for things.  Or, I must see that sometimes there is no fault.  Sometimes the problem is trying to find someone to blame. 

In relation to the Father, there is no room for culpability.  Rather, there is space for love and reconciliation.  What I must do is lay aside any thought seeking to blame the Father for my woes.  I must love him with all that I am and allow it to change me.  I must seek his beauty and grace in every circumstance.  Then, Dear Reader, I can find the love to not blame others as well.
